Keeping it Woolcool
At Cake Stories, we’re always looking for ways to minimise our impact on the environment. This includes finding ways to make our cake deliveries as sustainable as possible.
That’s why we use Woolcool to package our bakes - a super sustainable packaging made from 100% felted sheep’s wool. The insulated, eco-friendly box liner is reusable, biodegradable and compostable, significantly reducing landfill waste.
Not only is Woolcool a sustainable packaging alternative, it’s also been shown to outperform conventional insulated packaging and keep products cool for up to 72 hours after boxing up. This means that whole bakes arrive as fresh as the day they were made - and always in top-notch condition!
You can recycle your Woolcool locally by removing the perforated plastic wrap from the wool liner and placing the wool in your general waste bin to biodegrade. The perforated plastic wrap can be popped in the recycling bin.
